All right! So here’s Part 1 of my Top 20 Anime of 2015. Here’s 20-11:

20. The Asterisk War: This was a good series that has been called “generic,” but in my opinion, it was good but not great.

19. Monster Musume: This was a good harem anime and the best one of the year to me. ‪#‎MonsterGirlsNeedLoveToo‬

18. Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans: Another solid Gundam series, and the only reason I have it this low is because it’s still ongoing. One of best series of the fall season.

17. Tokyo Ghoul √A: This second season was solid. The ending was a bit underwhelming, but a lot of great action.

16. The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan: A great spinoff of the Haruhi series that got both the original Japanese and English dub casts back to reprise their roles. Solid series.

15. Food Wars: A great anime series with great food and some ridiculous fanservice (in a good way). Second season coming in the Winter. Can’t wait.

14. Durarara!!x2: Durarara returned with second season comprised of two cours, Shou and Ten, with the final cour coming in Winter 2016. Great series, amazing characters, craziness ensues.

13. Prison School: 5 boys get put in a prison in their own school by the student council. Despite an unnecessary controversy with the English dub, this series is pretty funny with some fanservice as well. Meiko is best girl, btw.

12. Yurikuma Arashi: By far the best Yuri anime of the year hands down. Your argument is invalid. Lol. This is a Yuri anime done right with amazing animation.

11. Beautiful Bones: Sakurako’s Investigation: In my opinion, the best mystery anime of the year. Sakurako-san is a woman obsessed with bones, which leads to dead bodies and this series allows to you to know more about bones rather than finding out who the killer is. It’s amazing, trust me.

10 down, 10 more to go. My top 10 anime of 2015 coming in a day or so

Without further ado, here’s the top 10!

10. Blood Blockade Battlefront: This series was one of the best of the summer in my opinion and had of the best OP/ED themes this year. Despite a two-month delay for the final episode, it didn’t disappoint and was totally worth the wait.

9. Seraph of the End: Seraph shows the story of two boys, who take two different paths: One who fights vampires, the other becoming a vampire and both trying to save each other. The action in this series is top-notch and was very popular in the summer and fall seasons.

8. Owarimonogatari: Studio Shaft gives us another solid series from the Monogatari Series, which follows Koyomi Araragi and his crazy life fighting apparitions, deities and other things.

7. Shimoneta: By far the funniest anime this year that J.C. Staff has come out with. The countless love nectar memes said it all. I think I speak for everyone when I say that we ALL are waiting for Funimation to dub this series. Also, RIP Miyu Matsuki who voiced Anna Nishikinomiya in this series.

6. Noragami Aragoto: Noragami’s first season was a big hit right out the gate, and this season didn’t disappoint. Like anybody was expecting it to. Everyone’s favorite god of calamity, Yato, returns along with Hiyori and Yukine in this series as Yato continues to search for his own shrine, while hiding from and eventually facing off against the God of War, Lady Bishamon. Solid series and I hope there’s more in the future.

5. Gangsta: Worick and Nicolas are handymen who work for the police and the four gangs that run the city of Ergastulum. Basically they handle the dirty work that no one else handles. This a gritty series that is just begging for a second season, but seeing as Studio Manglobe has closed its doors, the possibility of a second season is slim to none. Still a great series worth checking out…so is the beautiful Alex.

4. Charlotte: Jun Maeda and Key gives us another great series that plays with your emotions. Main character Yu finds out he has a special ability and is eventually transferred to a new school with students who have special abilities like him. Pretty good series that delivers despite a not-so-crazy ending. Also, Lia gives us another great OP theme.

3. Assassination Classroom: The students of Class E were met with a big mission: Kill the teacher before they graduate or the Earth is destroyed. However, when their teacher happens to be an alien with Mach 20 speed that blew up 70% of the moon, it won’t be easy. Koro-Sensei is Class E’s best teacher and their biggest obstacle. Can they do it? You’ll have to see. Pretty funny series and season 2 starts in Winter 2016. I can’t wait.

2. One Punch Man: Hands down, Madhouse made the best anime of the Fall season with this one. Saitama is an ordinary man who has the extraordinary ability to destroy opponents with one punch. He’s bored with his powers and constantly tries to find opponents stronger than him. Hilarity ensues. The animation is EPIC and to see this series go from a webcomic in 2009 to an anime series in 2015 is a big deal.

1. Death Parade: Madhouse delivered in the Winter this year with this psychological thriller with the catchiest OP theme of the year. Long story short, when two people die at the same time, they must participate in Death Games with their lives at stake with an arbiter named Decim judging their souls. Loser is banished to the void. The dub of this series was amazing and this anime is my #1 anime of 2015.
